An image for Fan Ductwork

One of our existing customers needed to increase the airflow through the building’s ductwork using an in-line booster fan. The only available space to install the booster fan was on the floor above, meaning the duct had to be split, routed to the upper floor where the fan would be installed, and then returned to the lower floor to complete the loop.

Outcome

We carried out a detailed site survey and created a 3D model of the existing layout and ductwork. Several solutions were modelled and reviewed in collaboration with the customer’s engineering team to identify the most efficient and cost-effective approach.

To meet the project’s tight shutdown window, all ductwork was fabricated off-site in modular sections, allowing for quick installation and easy manoeuvrability through a confined space. The materials were lowered into the building through the roof, and the final system achieved improved airflow while maintaining accessibility and minimising disruption.
