Precision, performance, and reliability are at the heart of our fabrication work. Using advanced equipment and skilled craftsmanship, we produce components and structures that meet exacting specifications across a range of industrial applications.

Sheet Metal Folding and Bending
Sheet Metal Folding and Bending

We offer a comprehensive range of metal forming capabilities, supported by advanced CNC folding, bending, and rolling machinery. Our fabrication workshop is equipped to handle projects of all sizes — from precision components to large structural assemblies — with accuracy, repeatability, and a consistently high-quality finish.

Our Press Brake, rated at up to 170 tonnes, allows us to bend mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium components up to 3 metres in length, ensuring versatility across a wide range of materials and applications.

We also provide tube, pipe, and sectional rolling with capacities of up to Ø3 1/8” tube, 3” RHS, and 2 1/2” RSA, enabling us to form complex shapes and curved profiles to exact client specifications.

MIG / TIG & MMA Welding
MIG / TIG & MMA Welding

Our Sheet Metalwork department delivers high-quality welding and fabrication services across stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium.

Our facilities are particularly suited to light and medium fabrications, supported by qualified and coded welding staff and a full range of calibrated MIG, TIG, and MMA welding equipment. We also offer spot welding and stud welding for specialist applications.

To ensure the best possible finish, we operate a speed-adjustable rotary table, enabling smooth, uniform welds on cylindrical components, along with a comprehensive dressing service that removes oxidisation marks and restores the brushed grain finish on stainless steel items.

Sheet Metal Cutting
Sheet Metal Cutting

Our sheet metal cutting facilities enable us to supply precision-cut profiles and guillotined blanks for a wide range of applications.

Our guillotine can cut sheet steel up to 13mm thick and 3 metres in length, with the capability to shear stainless steel and carbon steel plate up to 8mm thick. This allows us to process a variety of materials quickly and efficiently.

We also provide accurate cut-to-size blanks for subsequent processing, supported by automatic band saws for cutting bar, tube and sectional parts, and manual chop saws for mitring aluminium or mild steel extrusions. With a wide range of sheet sizes held in stock, we’re able to respond rapidly to customer demand, ensuring fast turnaround times without compromising precision or quality.

Roll forming sheet metal parts
Roll forming sheet metal parts

Berry & Escott's Metalwork Department uses precision NC rolling machines to roll form sheet metal, tube and sectional parts.

Utilising an advanced 3D CAD system we can develop complex formed components and use precision laser or water cut templates to ensure the finished form meets the correct specifications.

Our NC Rolling Machines have a capacity to handle 1300mm wide sheet metal to a 3mm thickness.

Fabrication Capacity
Fabrication Capacity

Berry & Escott’s sophisticated capabilities and ‘Design for Manufacture’ solutions free our highly skilled design specialists from the traditional limitations of large sheet metal and fabricated assemblies.

Our segregated Carbon and Stainless Steel workshops house a Fabrication Capacity that includes CNC Folding, Bending & Rolling machines, multiple fabrication bays and comprehensive welding, finishing & dressing facilities.

Holding CE Marking of fabricated structural steelwork BS EN 1090 to Execution Class 3 (EXC3) certification provides evidence of Berry & Escott’s suitable Factory Production Control (FPC), ensuring the traceability of every component from source, through the fabrication process and on to final delivery to site.

Nuclear Plant in Microcosm
In keeping with their objective of ‘harnessing the latest technology to improve delivery of training skills’, the National College for Nuclear (NCfN) at Bridgwater & Taunton College wanted to develop a learning environment that could replicate a nuclear plant in microcosm. This would need to allow students to experience the demands of the nuclear workplace, enabling them to practise industry operations & behaviours away from the ‘Licensed Environment’. Design of this Practical Reactor Activity Centre was to be based on a twin flow loop of hot & cold water. It would demonstrate thermodynamic principles on a closed loop system (similar to a nuclear power station) and incorporate the appropriate functional controls and instrumentation. To underpin ‘real life’ context, the final…
