Installation and site support to complete the job properly.

Berry & Escott provides installation support so projects don’t stop at manufacture. We work with clients to plan, deliver and install engineered solutions safely and efficiently — with practical, site-ready outcomes.

What We Do

Installation support for engineered solutions—helping ensure manufactured items fit, function and can be maintained safely.

Typical Deliverables

Installation support for fabricated assemblies, access systems and structural items; site measurement/fit-checks; practical issue resolution during install windows.

Who's it for?

Site teams, contractors and project leads delivering maintenance and upgrade scopes who want joined-up support from manufacture to install.

Lead Times

Confirmed after scope review; planned maintenance-window support can be prioritised by agreement.

What we typically support

  • Installation of fabricated assemblies, access systems and structural items
  • Mechanical install support for bespoke equipment
  • Site measurement / fit-up support and issue resolution
  • After-install adjustments and follow-on improvements

How we manage site work

  • Clear planning and documentation
  • Safety-first approach and coordination with client site teams
  • Single point of responsibility from design/manufacture through to install (where requested)

Enhancing the aesthetics, durability and functionality of fabricated metal assemblies
Enhancing the aesthetics, durability and functionality of fabricated metal assemblies

Utilising advanced processes and dedicated facilities, Berry & Escott offer a range of metal surface finishing & cleaning techniques to protect, enhance & restore a variety of metal surfaces.

Bead Blasting is a metal surface finishing treatment used by Berry & Escott. The process utilises round beads of glass media driven by air through specially designed nozzles at the material surface.

This will result in a clean, bright, satin, uniform surface finish on complex shapes, with minimal dimensional change or removal of material from the component.

Bead Blasting produces a more aesthetically appealing finish than other processes which makes it suitable as a final finish on many components.

Alongside Bead Blasting, Berry & Escott offer a range of metal surface finishes to meet the operational needs of customers in a broad range of sectors.

The process offers several key advantages over a paint finish, including:

  • Greater durability of finish
  • Improved corrosion protection
  • Can be used on temperature sensitive metals
  • Better for the environment
    • waste powder can be recovered & reused

Berry & Escott can apply bespoke anodised or electroplated surface finishes to component parts or fabricated assemblies to:

  • Enhance aesthetic appeal
  • Improve strength & durability
  • Increase corrosion protection
  • Improve shine & luster of otherwise dull surfaces

Customers can choose from a variety of 'direct to metal' applications that provide:

  • Cosmetic appeal
  • Enhanced corrosion resistance
  • Operational benefits, including: Chemical Agent Resistant Coatings, Anti-bacterial qualities, Noise reduction and temperature tolerance.

Berry & Escott can offer a range of bespoke / specialised surface coatings, including:

  • Scotchkote
  • Teflon
  • Physical Vapour Disposition (PVD)
Hygienic Pipework
Hygienic Pipework

Berry & Escott has many years experience in the fabrication and installation of stainless steel hygienic process pipework. All welds are produced using TIG welding procedures with an argon gas purge. The welds are carried out autogenously, whereby they are fused together without the use of filler wire. This produces a flat weld bead, eliminating areas where bacteria can grow.

Nuclear Plant in Microcosm
In keeping with their objective of ‘harnessing the latest technology to improve delivery of training skills’, the National College for Nuclear (NCfN) at Bridgwater & Taunton College wanted to develop a learning environment that could replicate a nuclear plant in microcosm. This would need to allow students to experience the demands of the nuclear workplace, enabling them to practise industry operations & behaviours away from the ‘Licensed Environment’. Design of this Practical Reactor Activity Centre was to be based on a twin flow loop of hot & cold water. It would demonstrate thermodynamic principles on a closed loop system (similar to a nuclear power station) and incorporate the appropriate functional controls and instrumentation. To underpin ‘real life’ context, the final…
